I love the idea of glamping. If you’re not familiar with glamping check out this post HERE. It’s when I took my family on our first glamping adventure.
Recently I had the opportunity to have a different sort of glamping adventure right down the road from where I live in Dayton, Oregon – at The Vintages Trailer Resort. It’s an adorable park filled with retro trailers that all have an authentic vintage yet updated feel to them.
I had family over for the holidays and since I was hosting in my small home really didn’t have enough room to comfortably seat my childhood friend who was coming up for our dinner party. So I decided to reserve a spot at The Vintages for a glamping inspired girl’s night in.
Staying at The Vintages
All of the retro RV’s are lit up with a street of lights at night. I fell I immediately in love with the atmosphere. It will make you feel like you are walking down a road from a classic movie. Each RV has a set of two bicycles, where you can stroll along the park and even further your adventure by riding over a foot bridge into Dayton.
I chose the 1963 Airstream Overlander because of the two single beds. Everything inside of the RV was beautifully redone. There were little luxurious touches everywhere, including two terry cloth bathrobes and slippers waiting in the closet.
What surprised me the most was just how comfortable the beds were. Once we finally went to bed I sank right into a deep sleep.
If you’re traveling through the Willamette Valley and are looking for a unique experience, this is definitely a place you’ll want to stay. It’s literally minutes away from some of the best restaurants and tasting rooms in the valley.
In addition, each trailer is filled with all of the tableware and utensils you’ll need for your stay. They also each have a propane grill. Plus the park has a clubhouse with games and a seasonal outdoor pool.
While our visit to The Vintages was short and sweet, I am personally excited to bring other out-of-town guests there so that they can experience a little slice of what the Willamette Valley and the tiny town of Dayton has to offer.
