You guys, I let the kids have a picnic for breakfast. The kids and I haven’t had a picnic for quite a while – in fact, I don’t know if I’ve joined in on their picnic adventures since last year. They will occasionally have picnics and tea parties on their own, but I’m usually trying to work and get stuff done when they do.
Since I’ve been working more this month (and feeling slightly guilty for doing so) I decided to surprise the kids with a picnic… for breakfast! Why not? The weather is nice with the sun shining and birds singing; I’m all for trying new things and creating new memories.
I know that it wouldn’t really matter what we had for a picnic and that it would just be exciting doing something different and having a picnic for breakfast, but I did want to get something fun and new for the kids to eat, so I bought some Foster Farms® Pancake Wraps at Walmart for a fun treat. They were in the frozen breakfast aisle and they had two flavors to choose from: Original Sausage and Pancake and Sausage and Pancake, Bacon, Egg, and Cheese. There is a coupon on Ibotta right now where you can buy one package of either variety and get $1.00 off. If you haven’t signed up Ibotta yet its super easy – just download the App and load the coupon.
I took out our picnic basket and set everything out; I poured some milk and served some fresh fruit and placed some mini breakfast bars out to go along with the Foster Farms® Pancake Wraps and we just enjoyed ourselves outside.
The kids love the Foster Farms® Pancake wraps as well as the picnic surprise. Who knows? Maybe this will be a morning they remember fondly of, long after they are grown. All I know is that sometimes it’s fun to try something new and surprise kids with a memory they won’t forget.

How cute! A breakfast picnic sounds excellent. Plus that way it isn't too hot!
This is a wonderful post … and whatever it takes to spend time with kids is worth the effort! Took my husband on a picnic in the snow one time! He loved it!
A picnic in the snow! That sounds romantic! I can just see it…warm cozy clothes, hot cocoa (or Spanish coffee)… 😉
