‘Tis the season for lots of cooking and creating in the kitchen. Even if I’m just making something for the kids I find myself plating things a little nicer. Around any festive time throughout the year I think that food surrounds us and brings us closer together.
Lately I’ve been serving up my recipes on some new platters and dishes. You see, I kind of have this thing for making pretty food. 😉 Having a variety of dishes to serve the food can really help. I think it’s good to have a variety of serving dishes to have on hand for multiple events and meals.
About REVOL Cookware:
Two months ago I got some new bowls and serving platters from REVOL porcelain and I’ve been using them frequently. I love the story behind REVOL Porcelain. REVOL Porcelain is a family owned business that has been manufacturing culinary porcelain since 1768 – it’s been in the same family for 9 generations now. Every quality piece that you purchase has a story behind it, and if that’s not enough to make you fall in love, the name REVOL spelled backwards happens to be LOVER – and the company has a passion for cooking, savoring, and sharing.
Some of the pieces I’ve added to my collection are the rectangle slate stone look appetizer platter, the black round individual baking dish belle cuisine, the white porcelain cereal bowl french classique, white glaze “lyonnais” salad bowl French classique, and the butter dish with stainless steel lid and french classique.
All of them are versatile and I can use them to display whatever kind of cooking or baking I do throughout the year.
What are you favorite kinds of serving dishes and platters? Do you use the same ones throughout the year or switch them up during the holidays?
