Last week the sun was shining bright and we absolutely loved it. The kids and I played in the backyard and had a picnic, pretending that it was summer time. There’s something about the sun that just brings out everyone’s spunk – they were full of playfulness and teasing!
As stressful as life can be with babies, it gets pretty crazy the older they get. Now I look at the calendar hoping to find a day (or even an evening) that doesn’t have multiple appointments, practices, or events on it.
We tend to be on the go and in the car quite a bit, and the kids are always hungry as soon as we pull out of the driveway! I’m sure it’s partly because they think I’ll just stop somewhere and get them something to eat, but generally I’ve already got something packed to let them snack on.
One of the things they love to have is Stonyfield Yogurt Pouches. The think they are fun and taste great. I love them because they have no high-fructose corn syrup in them or artificial flavors. To top it off they are also organic, and although I don’t purchase everything organic, there are certain foods I prefer to be – and I certainly love the fact that these are.
Stonyfield has Yo Baby pouches, Yo Toddler pouches, and Yo Kids pouches. The kids have devoured every flavor I have given them without complaints! They are sold in many stores – here’s a list to see if they are near you.
I know these crazy days shall too pass by before I know it, and I’ll be looking back longing to relive just one more day.
Sometimes silly sunny days help you regain perspective on life.

I love my kids so much, and even though it makes me sad how quickly they are growing up, I’m so glad that we are past the diaper and potty training stage!
Before I had children I had never used or purchased a baby wipe – ever. But now, well I couldn’t imagine life without them! Between messy car rides, sticky peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and those moments when you have to suddenly clean dirt off of their hands and faces (and your not home!) we use Pampers Wipes all the time, and not just for the kids! I’ll use them when I need to clean something off quick like extra dirt on my shoes or a spot on my shirt.
It’s hard work being a mom especially one with young ones, and sometimes there’s just not enough time in the day to get everything done, believe me I know it. I sincerely believe on of the nicest things you can do for another mom is to treat them from a break away from the messes and cleaning, and I try to remember to do that for my friends every now and again. Pampers knows how hard it is to keep the house clean with kids in and out too, so they are giving away a Spring Gentle Clean Gift Basket to one lucky reader! This gift basket includes:
- Cleaning Caddy
- Hand Lotion
- Swiffer Wet Jet
- Pampers Wipes
There is also a Twitter Party happening this week where you can engage with other moms online if you want to learn new ways to help making spring cleaning easier while using Pampers Wipes and wine prizes at the same time by joining the #PampersWipes Twitter Party!
Here are the details:
1 Box of Pampers Sensitive Wipes (448 ct)
1 Box of Pampers Sensitive Wipes (448 ct) + $50 SpaFinder.com Gift Card
1 Box of Pampers Sensitive Wipes (448 ct) + $50 Car Cleaning Service Gift Card
1 Box of Pampers Sensitive Wipes (448 ct) + $100 Merry Maids Gift Card
1 Box of Pampers Sensitive Wipes (448 ct) + Roomba Pet and Allergy (ARV $450)
Now on to the giveaway!
Unfortunately our beautiful days were short lived and winter is back in full force, making this week a drastic change with nearly freezing temperatures, rain, hail, and snow. Here in Oregon it’s a running joke that all of those things plus sun can happen within one hour! It’s totally true too.
The kids were beyond excited to pick out new outfits and were running around like they owned the store; grabbing polk-a-dot girls leggings and striped shirts to try on.
An hour later we finally decided on the perfect outfits: an “Awesome” navy girls tunic with jeggings and sparkly loafers for Anika.
Emma decided on a grey tunic and cropped skinny twill pants. She also bought another blouse and polk-a-dot leotards.
Noah is styling in his new checkered button front shirt, dark blue 5 pocket twills, and the cutest little fedora I have ever seen.
With an additional coupon for 20% when you spend $30 or more (good through 3/12/14) we purchased everything for just over $100. It’s pretty hard now-a-days to keep any trip under $100, let alone clothes shopping for 3 kids, so we were very happy.
Hopefully the sun will soon return but for now they can dream with their new clothes!
