Questions You Should Ask Yourself Before Buying a Tablet

If there’s one thing I’ve done a lot over the past week, it’s laying down either in bed or on the couch thanks to my little health scare. I didn’t have much energy to do anything, but shut my eyes and catch up on some television shows – which I rarely do anymore.

I did however get a chance to finally check out a new tablet that had been sitting on my dresser for a few weeks waiting to be reviewed- the AT&T Trek™ 2 HD Tablet. I was immediately in awe with the clear picture on the device 8 inch HD screen and the Dual Front-facing Speakers provided amazing sound. The Trek 2 HD was designed with entertainment in mind and I was thoroughly impressed with it. I laid back and caught up on some of my favorite shows and binged on the Food Network live on Direct TV.

The battery life was really amazing as well, the device was on for hours and I never had to plug it in. The whole tablet weighs just 12.8 ounces and just felt like the right size. I began to wonder – just what is the perfect tablet, and how do you go about finding it? So I started asking myself these questions:

First, figure out what you are going to be using the tablet for: Is it for streaming movies? Catching up on social media? Work?

What kind of operating system do you like, or need?

Do you prefer using a stylus?

What size do you like?

How much storage does the tablet need?

Finally, what is your budget?

Next, do some research online to figure out which tablets have what you are looking for. Ask around to your friends and family and see what has worked for them.

Finally, after you’ve narrowed it down to a few different types, I would honestly recommend checking them out in a store if possible. I can do all of the research online that I want, but nothing compares to seeing the devices in person.

For me, the Trek 2 HD works perfectly for what I use tablets for – entertainment.

What other tips do you have for picking out the perfect tablet? I’d love to hear!
