Our Christmas

Last weekend turned out wonderful around here. We’ve literally had three days of no schedules or agendas, where we were able to lounge around in sweatpants, eat too many holiday treats, and play board games while watching TV.

The kids had fun opening their presents on Christmas morning and creating a disaster in the living room while Wayne and I enjoyed our version of Spanish coffee and mimosas. I made a casual holiday meal and then we all just hung out.

The kids also created something special for Wayne and I – a full on production of The Nutcracker, complete with music, dances, memorized lines, and invitations. It lasted nearly 30 minutes and I had the biggest smile on my face the entire time. Of course we were warned prior to the performance that no cameras or video recording would be allowed. 😉

It’s crazy how you never realize just how tired you have become until you sit around and do nothing.

I hope you had an amazingly long weekend and was able to spend time with people you love!
