Living Locally: Scenes from ChocolateFest

Last night two of my co-workers and I had a much needed girl’s evening in Portland and visited ChocolateFest which benefits the World Forestry Center. This event definitely lives up to its name, and has 80 vendors with something chocolate-y to share! With Valentine’s Day coming up this is a great place to buy extra special confections for your special someone.

We sampled Sea Salt Toffee from Holm Made Toffee and each had to buy a bag to take home. We sipped some Berry Fusion from Barefoot Wine & Bubbly and tasted Muscat from Hip Chicks Do Wine.

ChocolateFest is open one more day! For more information check out my first post HERE, or their website: ChocolateFest.org

Thanks for the Holm Made Toffee shoutout! We are so glad you enjoyed our sea salt toffee. Would you mind if we link to this article on our facebook page? We love all your photos of ChocolateFest and didn't have enough time to leave our booth and take our own :) - Randi Holm of Holm Made Toffee Co.

Hi Randi! Of course! The Toffee I bought didn't even make it 24 hours at my house! :)

That is totally normal btw :) I often tell people to store it in the fridge and they laugh and say it won't even make it home. Hope to see you at another event in the future. I am based in Bend and my mother in law in Glide but we would like to get to the Portland area more often for festivals. And if you ever want to blog about chocolate again just hit me up and I can mail you some!
