Well, friends, we are officially two weeks away from Halloween weekend, and I know my kids are as excited as ever! Not only do they get to dress up in their favorite costumes, eat candy, and show all of their wild and craziness, but they also get to stay up later because it’s on a Saturday this year, which means they can sleep in the next morning! (I’m a little excited about that myself!)

Today, I’m chaperoning Noah’s first “big kid” field trip with his Kindergarten class to the pumpkin patch, where we will go on a hayride, do some fun activities, and pick out pumpkins. We love going to pumpkin patches and normally go a handful of times every year, but I’m running behind with so many soccer games going on, so this is the first pumpkin patch trip of the year! I’ll have to get the rest of the family together and head out to one this weekend or next so we can spend the day together and stock up on more pumpkins for decorating purposes.

After school today, I’m letting the kids make a special treat—one we’ve had before, only this time it’s just a tad bit spookier! The kids always love making fun food, so we tend to get creative around holidays. We are going to make some more of these easy Sweet Ghost Snack Pack® Treats.

You seriously only need a couple of ingredients, starting with Snack Pack® vanilla pudding, Reddi-Wip topping, and some black chocolate candies. I always have a pack of sprinkles around, too, because sprinkles always make things more exciting.

All you do is top the individual pudding cups with the whipped cream, add two candies for eyes, and voila—you’ve created ghosts! I serve them immediately, but if it’s going to be a few minutes before they are served, go ahead and set them in the freezer so the whipped cream stays set.

What are some of your favorite Halloween-related activities? Between pumpkin patches, carving pumpkins, and making sweet treats, there is a lot to love! 🙂

On a side note, I took this picture with the kids last weekend after they made some treats and happened to notice that we were photo-bombed by a stink bug! They are all over the place around here lately; I guess they are the perfect outdoor addition for live, creepy Halloween decorations! 🙂

This Halloween, take a moment to slow down and enjoy a tasty and fun treat with the kids. Snack Pack® comes in a variety of flavors and offers endless mix-in opportunities the kids can help prepare. Each serving of Snack Pack® is fortified with as much calcium as an 8-oz glass of milk,* so you can feel good about serving your kid’s Snack Pack®.
