Emma’s Frozen Birthday Party

Hey everyone! If it seems as if I’ve been MIA the past few days, it’s because, well, I have. For good reason though! I’ve been busily painting, and repainting our bathroom, along with re-staining the cabinets – and planning a little Frozen themed party for Emma! We had the party at the local aquatic center in McMinnville and ended up having about 30 kids in attendance, plus adults! It’s always hard for me to plan a party outside of the home because the set up has to be done so quick – like 10-15 minutes quick – and then you have to hurry and take it all down, but it turned out really good today, and the kids all loved playing in the pool after cake and presents! Speaking of cake, I stayed up way too late Friday night making it – but it turned out pretty darn good! It was Frozen-themed on the outside, and a summery lemon cake with lemon raspberry filling, covered in buttercream frosting. I found the recipe online and I’ll have to share it soon! It was really tasty and a lot of people enjoyed it!

After a crazy weekend, I’m thankful that the kids don’t have school tomorrow and we can all have one extra day to rest before getting back into the swing of things. The best part is that the kids will all play happily with all of the new toys Emma got today!

Here’s a link to the fun poster board backdrop I used -it’s life-sized and the girls loved it!
