Lemon Peach Sangria Recipe with Wente Wine

This post is sponsored by Wente Vineyards but the content and opinions expressed here are my own. The following content is for readers 21+.

Hello my friends! I hope you’ve had a wonderful weekend. I am currently sitting in my bed with a hot pack on my neck, ice pack on my back, and a glass of Wente Wine in my hand…and it’s only 9:30 pm! I think these last two weeks have really worn my body out. I don’t think my 30’s body can handle stress like my 20’s body used to. 😉

I’ve been working around this website today, prepping for more fun posts to share and getting caught up on the countless emails from lately. After having a couple mini meltdowns this last month (okay, it was probably like a dozen or so) from accepting this new job, I am finally starting to settle my mind down to grasp things…and now that I’m back down to a part time status things will get easier.

After reflecting on what exactly was worrying me so much I figured that as much as I hate the fact that I’m going to miss some of the kid’s activities now and again, what had really been bothering me was that I had to rely on someone else to implement the schedules that I so diligently plan and organize for everyone, and if you have kids you know that you can try and try to have everything planned out, but something always comes up.

Life is a journey, and all I can do is make sure that I’m doing what I think is best for my family and myself. Taking another job made me feel like I had failed at blogging, but I know that that is completely untrue. Thanks to you guys, this blog has taken me places that I never realized I would go – and financially helped our family out too. And that’s not going to change – I’m just taking two paths for the time being, but this online space will always be my passion.

I’m not going anywhere.

                                                                              ———————————

I love trying new wines and writing about the experiences around them. I picked up a bottle of Wente Vineyards Riva Ranch Chardonnay the other day and then looked them up to learn more about their wines, and I quickly fell in love with their journey and story. You can read more about it here.

Wente Vineyards is a brand that dates back more than 130 years. Today, the winery maintains its leadership role in California wine growing under the ownership and management of the 4th and 5th generations of the Wente family, and is internationally recognized as a leader in wine country tourism, featuring wine tasting, education, fine dining, concerts and championship golf.

When I’m not sipping on a glass of wine before bed, I’m experimenting with different cocktails, and in this case, sangria. I had never made a white wine sangria before, but this turned out amazing. It’s great for an afternoon beverage on the back deck.

Lemon Peach Sangria with Wente Wine

What you need:

1 cup of orange juice

1 cup of vodka

1/2 cup of sugar

2 peaches, thinly sliced

2 lemons, thinly sliced

1 bottle of dry white wine (I used Wente Wine Chardonnary)

1 bottle of champagne or club soda

Directions:

In a large pitcher, stir the orange juice, vodka, and sugar until dissolved. Add the fruits and wine. Refrigerate until serving. Just before serving, pour glass half full of club soda or champagne and add the sangria to fill the glass. Serve immediately. If you have a large crowd you can divide the sangria mixture into two pitchers and add the champagne directly to the sangria. Enjoy!

Until next time,

~Melissa
